My top 5 hobbies during lockdown

  1. Walking

I am fortunate enough to live in an area surrounded by gorgeous walks. Many of these walks I had not had the chance to discover prior to lockdown so I am trying to focus on the positive outcome of this. I adore being able to refresh my brain and take in fresh air and fresh scenery on new routes in the local area. It also gives me plenty of time to listen to podcasts and music!

2. Book-folding

This is a hobby I started last year but am embarrassed to admit one that I can go months without doing. There are hundreds of patterns available online to try out. It’s very simple to do but does require a lot of patience (something I don’t always possess). I am currently working on a teacup and teapot design that I bought from Amazon! It is a great gift for fellow book lovers.

3. Jigsawing

The perfect thing to do while binge-watching Bones! I find it difficult to sit and just watch TV, so doing jigsaws gives me the perfect thing to keep my hands busy.

4. Learning Swedish

Last September, my lovely wife and I travelled to Sweden to say with our bestie and her family over there. Ahead of this we started learning Swedish using Duolingo. I took a bit of a break after our trip but am back on to it. It’s great fun, I love learning new languages! Do you guys speak any other languages?

5. Reading

This one sounds like bit of a a no-brainer but I have actually been in a major reading slump for the past few months. Thankfully, I have managed to climb my way out of this and am eager to read more while I have the time. I’d love your recommendations!

Stay safe!
